4月8日、ホテルオークラ東京で、2月12 日に肺炎のため82歳で亡くなったPCO最大手コングレの代表取締役会長、隈﨑守臣氏の「お別れの会」が執り行なわれ、各界からおよそ500人が参列した。

隈﨑氏は銀行での勤務を経て1990年にコングレを設立。数々の医学会や国際会議等の運営を手掛け、業界最大手に育て上げた。また、1998年にはPCOや関連企業・団体で構成する業界団体、全国コンベンション運営事業者協議会（現日本コンベンション事業協会＝CPA） の設立に尽力、初代会長に就任した。

On April 8th, in Hotel Okura Tokyo, "farewell ceremony" of Mr.Moriomi Kumasaki who was a chairman of the large Congress among PCO and died of pneumonia at 82 on February 12th was held, and about 500 people from each industry participated in it.

He established Congress in 1990 after working for a bank. He managed several medical associations and international conferences, etc., and grow it to the largest corporation in its industry.

In 1998, he made an effort to establish Japan Convention Management Association( currently "Convention Planners Association of Japan"), congress organization consisting of
PCO as well as corporation and organization related thereto. He took a position of the first chairman.
