Thank you for the clarification. I am still awaiting news from Amazon regarding the claim, as it has come to my attention later that the headphones may be defective given the large difference in sound when played through my laptop and my phone. As I have never owned a pair of of these headphones before now, I did not suspect that these headphones may be defective as first. I thought about the situation, and I came to the conclusion that stereo version or not, there's no way these $200 USD headphones would sound worse on my phone than my previously owned pairs of $20 headphones and $50 headphones.
