How did the name come about?

On top of that, Danny also shared exclusively with e27 how the name and branding came about.

“Hip is the root word for iconic generations such as the “hippies” of the 70s and the “hipsters” of the 90s. Regardless of your affiliations, the word “hip” represents to us the courage to be unique, creative and fun. It is a lifestyle which we hope our products will help exemplify. The word “van” came about because we wanted something to identify us as drivers for the brands and independent designers that we work with.
