中学生は学校には携帯電話やお金を持ってきてはいけないし、学校の出入りも自由ではない。だから先輩たちが学校の近くのコンビニでお昼ごはんを買ってきて、携帯電話でメールをしている姿を見たら、高校ってこんなに自由で素晴らしいところなんだと夢が膨らんだ。しかし、学校によっては携帯電話のルールなどが厳しい学校もあると先輩から聞いた。先輩たちは南高校は自由でのびのびした空気がほかの学校とは違うと説明してくれた。

Junior high school students are not allowed to bring their mobile phone and they are not allowed to enter or go out from the school easily. Therefore, they dream of high school as a wonderful place where they can have freedom when they see the seniors could buy their lunch from the nearby convenience store and texting on their phone. However, I heard that there are also some schools with strict rules concerning matters such as mobile phones. The senior explained to us that Minami High School is lenient and has a easygoing atmosphere while other schools are different.
