China Groupon and FTuan Merge to Form New Company, GroupNet

Following the announcement of a business merger between China deals sites, Gaopeng, Groupon’s service in China, and FTuan, the new holding company will be rebranded with a new logo (pictured right) and name. GroupNet will essentially merge the two platforms and be run by top management from both FTuan and Gaopeng.

Tencent will also take up 30 percent of the new company’s shares, with FTuan’s CEO, Lin Ning, overseeing the new company’s operations. Both Gaopeng and FTuan websites and branding will remain as they are.

中国の取引サイトである中国のグルーポン・サービスGaopengとFTuanの経営統合のアナウンスメントを受け、新しい親会社は新しいロゴ(写真右端)と名前でブランドを再生する。グループ・ネットは、基本的に2つのプラットフォームが統合し、FtuanとGaopeng両方のトップ・マネジメントにより経営される。

Tencentもまた新会社の株を30%取得し、FTuanのCEOであるLin Ningと新会社の事業を監視する予定。　GaopengとFTuanの両ウェブサイトとブランドは現在のまま存続する模様。
