この度はご迷惑をおかけして申し訳ございませんでした。
メールでも経過をご説明させていただきましたように、商品は予定通りに発送させていただきましたが、配送サービスの手違いで当店に返送されてきてしまいました。
すぐに再配送の手配をさせていただいたのですが、結局、到着予定が遅延し、お客様を落胆させることになり、キャンセルのご依頼をいただいてしまいましたこと、当店としましても大変残念であり、心よりお詫びを申し上げるばかりでございます。

Sorry for the incovenience.
As explained in the message we shipped the item according to the scheduled date but the delivery company returned the item to our store.
I could have arranged for the item to be reshipped, but eventually since the products arrival would have been delayed, regretfully the customer cancelled the order due to their disappointment. We are sorry for this and would like to apologise sincerely.
