Kawaii Twikao Turns Your Face Into An Emoticon

Over on JapanTrends I came across Twikao, an iPhone app that turns your face into an emoticon or kaomoji. You simply take a photo of your own face and let the app do the rest. It’s a little wacky, but its undeniably creative.

The app is only able to detect human faces, because I tried it on my dog (as ya’ do) and an Angry Bird plush toy, but it doesn’t seem to work. There isn’t any business model except advertising for now.

JapanTrendsサイトで、顔の表情を顔文字に変えるiPhone向けのアプリ、Twikao（ツイカオ）を偶然見た。自分自身の顔写真を撮れば、後はアプリにおまかせ。少し変わっているが、クリエイティブなことは否定できない。

このアプリが認識できるのは人の顔だけだ。というのも、私が飼っている犬(皆もするように)とアングリーバードのぬいぐるみで試してみたが、うまくいかなかった。今のところ、広告以外にビジネスモデルはない。
