It's a cola drink which limits the absorption of fats from food, encourages its excretion, and causes the level of neutral fats in the blood stream to raise gently, thanks to the effects indigestible dextrin (dietary fibre). The special effects of the indigestible dextrin are lessened somewhat, to give Pepsi its distinctive, refreshing aftertaste.
Its role in supporting and promoting health has been scientifically demonstrated, and recognised by the Japanese Consumer Affairs Agency.
