There are many language translation services online such as "Google Translate", "Bing Translator", and many more. These services use a program that helps translates languages. In the near future users will be introduced to another form of translation, from a Japanese friend, to try a service that introduces a way to harvest the power of thinking from the masses, known as Crowd Sourcing. Crowd sourcing will help with language translation (using people, not bots) by a service called "Conyac", which emphasizes translation work that is like short communications that is done on a time by time basis, such as communications to sell items, send email, and others. Tomo: Conyac provides language translation service by the use of Crowd Sourcing. This is where we allow users to have a part in the translation. This idea came from my own direct experience. It's very normal for anybody to want a quick translation with quality at a reasonable price. Therefore, Crowd Sourcing is the answer to this idea.

Tomo: Other than Japan, our customers are from the United States of America and China.
thumbsup: How many translators do you currently have? How many customers and where are they from?
Tomo: Currently, we have around 7,000 translators and over 5,000 customers in our system. They are broken down into:
Japan 45%
China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan) 18%
Indonesia 15%
Thailand 10%
Singapore 2%

thumbsup: What is your business model to create an income?
Tomo: It could be explained in these steps. The customer first comes in to buy credits and uses those credits to request for translation work. Those translation requests will be posted on the translators' page. The translators will come in to choose their translation work. Once the translation work has been accomplished, there will be an automated email sent to the customer. Once the translator receives their money, Conyac will receive a certain amount of commission from that particular work.

Tomohiro: We are promoting online so that we can reach customers by using Facebook Ads, Google AdWords and Social Media.

Tomohiro: We have English <-> Japanese, English <-> Chinese, English <-> Indian. Regarding English <-> Thai, now we are beginning to see this more and more.

Tomohiro: So far there are over 130 registered Thai users and there is an increasing trend as well.
thumbsup: How do you control the quality of the translation?
Tomohiro: Anyone who wants to become a translator must identify themselves through their Facebook Account. We have a method in place for the system and the users themselves check the accuracy of others' translations as well.
thumbsup: Currently, where does your funding come from?
Tomohiro: We have received funds from Samurai Incubate. Right now we are in the process of raising more funds as well.

Tomohiro: Actually some people do not want to pay money or would rather use free tools or services like Google Translate. But actually we didn't look at them as competitors. We try to compete with ourselves and make our service to be the best as we could.
