グループ８とCBN-JPは、9月14日、プリンスホテルで「都市ホテルに於けるMICEビジネスの現状と課題」をテーマにジョイントワークショップを開催する。
国内では、観光庁が2010年をMICE振興の年として、「JAPAN MICE YEAR」と位置づけて以来、関連業界や自治体が推進に力を入れて取り組んでいる。一方で都市型ホテルでは後述の声がある：“円高で宿泊だけでも確保できれば良いが、宴会場（会議室）料金は90％引きでもむずかしい”
Group 8 and CBN-JP are holding a joint workshop in the in the city located Prince Hotel with the present business conditions and challenges of the MICE business as a theme.
After the sightseeing related government offices promoted MICE domestically by calling 2010 the 'JAPAN MICE YEAR', MICE has been trying to hard to put more power into the growth of it's business relations and self-governing body. On the other hand in a city hotel another voice can be heard: ''Being able to secure lodging with the current appreciation of the yen is good, but even though the banquet hall (used as a conference room) is 90% cheaper, it's still very difficult.

こうした現状を踏まえ、今回、都市ホテルにおいて、MICEのなかでも“Ｉ”と“Ｃ”に焦点を絞り、意見交換の場として合同ワークショップの開催が決まった。
基調講演では、専務理事田中氏が「都市ホテルに於けるコンファレンスビジネスの理念と義務」をテーマに登壇。
その後パネルディスカッションでは、立教大学観光学部の玉井教授をコーディネーターとし、パネリストとそれぞれの現状と課題について話し合う。参加費は1万円（当日持参）。
'Inbound' MICE's business is the fact that the people in charge of operations are unable to do direct business.
Based on that present condition, we wanted to create a place where we can exchange opinions and put a focus on, among other things, MICE's I & T.
And for the keynote speech, managing director Sir. Tanaka will do a speech regarding the idea and duty behind conference business.
After that professor Tamai of the sightseeing department of the Rikkyo University will coordinate a panel discussion, where we will talk about the current situation and other subjects. Participating will cost 10000 yen (and this should be brought on the day itself).
