よぞらに ほそいみかづきさん。みあげる ひーちゃんとママ。
「ひーちゃんみたいな、みかづきさん。」ママが いったの。
これから どんどん おおきくなって いくんだって。
まいばん みかづきさんを みあげる ひーちゃん。
ほら、すこしずつふくらんで おおきくなってく みかづきさん。
「ママみて はんぶんまで おおきくなったよ。」
ワクワク ひーちゃんに にっこり うなづく ママ。
それから いくつも いくつも よるが すぎて
みかづきさんは とうとう まんまるおつきさまに。
There was thin Crescent Moon-san in the night sky. Hi-chan and his mom looked up at him.

「ママみて おつきさまが はんぶんに なっちゃった…。」
それから また いくつも よるが すぎて･･･。 とうとう

「ママも いつか きえちゃうの？」ふあんそうな ひーちゃん。
「みえなくても おつきさまは ちゃんと おそらにいるのよ。」
「もし ママが みえなくなっても
ママは ずっと ひーちゃんの そばにいるわ。」
