『スバル BRZ STIバージョン…自然吸気で250ps?!』
スバル（富士重工）の新型FRスポーツカー、『BRZ』。同車に設定が噂される高性能グレード、「STIバージョン」に関して、興味深い情報をキャッチした。
これは28日、自動車メディアの『Auto EXPRESS』が伝えたもの。

Subaru (Fuji Heavy Industries, Ltd., Tokyo) is rumored to release its new rear wheel drive sports "BRZ". And additional rumor about its top-of-the-line variation, "STI version" is circulating. We have recently heard very interesting information about it.
The information is reported by car industries media "Auto EXPRESS" on 28th, March.
同メディアのインタビューに応じた富士重工グローバルマーケティング本部の安宅淳氏は、STIバージョンについて、最大出力は250psレベルへ引き上げ、エンジンの最大許容回転数も7500rpm付近まで高めることを示唆したというのだ。
ノーマルのBRZは最大出力200psだから、気になるのは、50psものパワーアップの手法。果たして、ターボ化はあり得るのか。
安宅氏は、エンジンルームにインタークーラーを追加するスペースがないことから、ターボ計画を否定。
The media was successful to interview Mr. Atsushi Ataka, from FHI Global Marketing Headquarters, and he hinted that a peak power of so-called STI version will achieve up to 250PS, and its maximum rotation speed would go up as much as 7500 rpm.
Already released basic grade BRZ would only sport 200PS, and we are very much interested in their method to add 50PS more. Would it have turbo-charged engine?
Mt. Ataka did not agree that it would have turbo-charger, while there is no extra room to add intercooler in its engine compartment.
「可変バルブコントロールなど、吸排気系のチューニングによってパワーアップを追求する」と語ったという。
また、STIバージョンでは軽量化も推進。安宅氏は、「カーボンファイバー製ルーフやバケットシートなどの採用により、車両重量を1250kg程度に抑える」と話したとのこと。STIバージョンには、大いに期待してよさそうだ。
Instead, he said, extra power will be available by tuning aspiration and exhaustion system, by technologies such as variable valve control.
In addition, STI version would receive extra weight-saving. Mt. Ataka said "We will employ roof made with carbon fiber and bucket sheets, curb weight is just around 1,250 kg." It seems that we can make a great expectations for the vehicle.
