Create a board of directors for yourself. Create an imaginary group of advisors to help you make decisions. Make up a list of the top experts in the field you are making a decision in, and ask yourself what each of those people would probably tell you to do. Read their books, check their Web sites, etc., and get an insight into their thinking, then bring it back to your decision. You will be amazed by how just asking yourself how an expert you have in mind would handle it, will improve your decision making.
