私は大阪生まれの大阪育ちですが、小学生の頃は、父親の仕事の転勤で北京に２年間住んでいました。北京で通っていた小学校は日本人小学校だったため、英語や中国語を学ぶ機会はありませんでしたが、海外生活の影響を受けて、異文化や語学に興味をもつきっかけとなりました。
I was born and raised in Osaka. When I was in elementary school, I lived in Beijing for 2 years because of my father's job. As I went to a Japanese school there, I didn't have a chance to learn English or Chinese. However, because of my experience living in abroad, I became interested in other cultures and foreign languages.
その影響もあり、大学進学時には在校生との約半分が留学生という東京の大学に進学しました。
海外の学生と触れ合うことで語学力や異文化に触れたいと思ったためです。また、大学在学中は１年間休学してカナダに半年間、フィリピンに半年間留学しました。留学中には多くの経験、出会いがありました。留学時代に出会った人とは今も交流を続けており、会うたびに刺激をもらっており、特にかけがえない財産となりました。これからも切磋琢磨していい関係を築いていきたいと思います。
Due to the influence I decided to study at a university in Tokyo, whose half of the students are internationals.
I wanted to know foreign cultures and improve my skill of foreign languages through spending time with international students. I've studies in Canada for half a year and in Philippines also for half a year, leaving the university in Tokyo for a year during my study. I have experienced a lot and met many people. With those who I got to know during study abroad I keep the contacts still, getting inspiration when I meet them, and they are my precious existence. I want to keep stimulating friendship with them.
