昨日、山田さんを夕食に招待し、ERPについて議論しました。
財務部長会議でERPの導入が決まったことから、今後のグローバル展開の基本的考え方及び今回の買収に伴う影響等について、出来るだけ早くIBMとNECの責任者同士で意識を合わせた方が良いと、私は彼を説得しました。彼は、快く私の提案を受け入れてくれました。今、彼は中間決算で大変忙しいのですが、来週、時間を調整して一緒にその会議を開催する事と参加する事を約束してくれました。
I invited Mr.Yamada to dinner, and we discussed ERP.
As the introduction of ERP was decided at the treasurer meeting, I persuaded him that it would be better to put the idea together between the managers in IBM and NEC as much as possible regarding the basic idea on the global development in the future, and the effect from this buy-out. He willingly accepted my proposal. He is currently very busy with the interim results, however he promised me to arrange his schedule for next week, and hold and join the meeting with me.
来週、トムさんが日本に来られないことは大変残念ですが、彼には断りの連絡をしたいと思います。
しかし、私は、出来るだけ早く、この会議が開催されることを期待しています。
なお、鈴木さんが希望する会議のテーマは、恐らく、７月８日にIBMから提出したPricing Proposalの件だと思います。
私は、もちろんPricingも重要ですが、今後のグローバル展開をどのように進めるかを決める事も重要だと思います。
I am very sorry that Tom cannot make it to Japan next week, however I would like to contact him about the declination.
However, I hope this conference would be held as soon as possible.
Also, the theme of the conference which Mr. Suzuki would like to hold, is probably regarding the Pricing Proposal submitted by IBM on the 8th of July.
I agree that Pricing is important, although do believe that deciding how to continue with our global development from now on, is crucial as well.
