I took the unit back to the shop. Once the tape was removed the motor seemed to be working fine again. The tech felt confident that all it needs at this point is some new tape and that it should function fine again. I will order some new tape on ebay. The shop did not charge me for the second visit. If you can send me the refund for the first shop visit ($191) we will be good to go. Thank you for your help in resolving the issue. I will most definately give you a 5 star rating when all is completed.
