6waves Lolapps Raises $35 Million Post-Merger

VatorNews spotted an SEC filling from the newly minted social game publisher/developer 6waves Lolapps that puts its latest round of funding at $35 million with Insight Venture Partners leading the round.
As previously noted here on ISG, 6waves’ last round of funding dates back to January 2010 and totals $17.5 million in January 2010 (also led by Insight), while Lolapps’ last known funding was a September 2008 Series A round that came to $4.5 million.

The publisher and developer merged in the middle of this July just after Lolapps announced the acquisition of the Flash-based Fliso game engine. A slew of new games have also come under 6waves’ publishing arm in the last couple of weeks, notably Animal Party and a tie-in game based on Starz TV’s Camelot series.
6waves Lolapps hasn’t responded to request for official comment at this time.
