Nabeshima ware is upmarket porcelain manufactured in kilns controlled directly by the domain of Nabeshima in the 17th to the 19th centuries. Arita and Imari are known as Japan's representative production centers for porcelain. Of these, the domain-run kilns in Okawa Uchiyama baked upmarket products, which were called Nabeshima ware.
Satsuma ware was launched in 1598.
