川越には名物として、「関東三大祭」の一つである「川越まつり」(川越氷川祭)があります。(毎年10月第3土曜・日曜の二日間に開催)

There is "Kawagoe Festival" (Kawagoe Hikawa-Sai) which is one of 'Kanto Big Three Festival' as a big attraction in Kawagoe. (It is held on the third Sat.-Sun. , October during two days every year.)
The God rode on mikoshi and went around the town, people got the God's Virtue, and they prayed for happiness and prosperity of the town.
This festival was designated for national important folk culture intangible asset. And Kawagoe Festival Hall had opened to exhibit the materials and to preserve the traditions in 2003.
This is the folk museum which introduces the change of festivals and background, the preparation of festivals and scenery, and the musical accompaniment in traditional Japanese performance. Then the design of the exterior looks like a warehouse.
