This is an example of the famous (or infamous) reversible "pink" camo smock worn by Elite German fighting units on the Eastern front. These were found in a warehouse behind the Iron Curtain in the early 70's, and there has been a LOT of discussion regarding when they were made and who wore them. I was "there" at the time (bought my first German Uniform in 1964) and I have no problem with these being unissued German Elite uniform smocks that were uncovered post war.
