Thanks for getting back to me. I understand what you're saying about the stones. I'm just learning the complexities of these stones and how they compliment certain blades more than others. This is relatively new to me so excuse me for asking what might appear to be stupid questions. Do the Professional Knife Grinders have many stones that they will choose from when honing different razors? I know I can't have many stones so I have to pick only one?

Would you have a preference in choosing one of these two stones as a finishing stone #F-40 or F-105 for polishing Sheffield and Solingen razor steel?
I'm in awe of how complex these whestones are with how they perform differently with different steel?
I will do a little more research and try and choose one to buy? Will these be on sale for longer than one more day?
I have an idea? Maybe if I tell you the type of razors I have you might have a better idea of how these stones will work. First question though is the harder the stone the finer the grit? So the F-105 would be the finer grit then the F-40?
