Someday, I hope someone will place a living, breathing, crying and screaming seconds-old person in my arms and tell me that here, in real life, is the someone I have created, that here, in my arms, is the manifestation of every dream and every nightmare that I’ve been living under the past nine months.
That here is the manifestation of everything so far. That here, in my arms, is another beginning. That here, so enamored of me as I am of him, is the beginning of next great adventure.
I hope that someday I can love some little someone as feverishly and as all-encompassing as my mother loves me. I hope that someday I can give that gift to my little someone.
