９.１１同時テロの首謀者とされるウサマ・ビンラディンをイスラマバード郊外で殺害というニュースが世界を駆け巡った。これは朗報かそれとも悲報というべきか。
旧約聖書を読む機会が少ない日本人にとって、テロは単なるテロ事件である。首謀者が生きて逮捕されるべきか、殺害されるかは容易に判断出来る。しかし、聖地を巡って未だに紛争が古より今日まで続いているならウサマ・ビンラディンの死はあまり喜べそうにない。
歴史は諍いを利用して、私腹を肥やす輩で満ちている。いつも犠牲になるのは民である。
