The camera was recieved in the mail today. I inserted a blank tape and surprisingly, the camera would not read it and would tell me to eject the tape. I have tried this with multiple tapes and batteries without any luck.
It appears that the camera is damaged and I would like a refund if we cannot reach a resolution because this is the second VX I have bought from Japan that has failed me as soon as it arrived in the post.

カメラが郵送で届きました。空のテープを入れてみたのですが、驚くことに読み取ってくれず、テープを出すよう表示されました。いろんなテープやバッテリーで試しましたが、残念な結果でした。
カメラに損傷があるようなので、他に解決策がなければ返金を希望します。ポストに届いてすぐ、日本から購入したVXで、ポストに届いてすぐ不具合があったのが2つ目だからです。
うまく解決できればと思います。お願いします。
