تمد مكونات الجولان من المناخات المحلية والأنهار العديدة إسرائيل ب16% من مائها العذبة وتسمح للمزارعين بزراعة مجموعة كبيرة من المحاصيل. وخصوصا أن الهضبة مشتهرة كبلدة النبيذ الإستثنائية لإسرائيل التي تننتج أنواع نبيذ من الدرجة الأولى مثل كابيرنت سوفيجونوس وميرلوتس في بلد معروف بالخمور الرديئة. أقصى شمال الجولان أكثر وعورة ولذلك فإن الحقول الزراعية الجنوبية تعد طريقا للمرتفعات البركانية في منطقة جبال لبنان. فلهواة الخروج في الهواء الطلق ومن يستطيع التغلب على السمعة السيئة للمنطقة مرتفعات الجولان الشمالية تقدّم فرصا للإستجمام على مدار العام.
