Of the countries that have managed to make this work/play balance an art form, Australia is right at the top of the tree.
This was once again demonstrated at this year’s Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from the 26-27 February. Not only was the event loaded with new initiatives to reward the time investment that visitors and exhibitors were making, but organisers ensured that adequate playtime was scheduled for business and social relationships to be cultivated in the finest and most convivial surroundings.

このことは、今年2月26日〜27日にメルボルン・コンベンション＆エキシビション・センターで開催されたアジア太平洋インセンティブズ＆ミーティングエキスポ（AIME）で再び実証された。主催者は、訪問者と展示者が費やした時間的投資に報いるための新たなインセンティブをイベントに数多く盛り込んだだけでなく、最高に素晴らしく友好的な環境でビジネス関係および社交関係を築くに相応しい遊びの時間を必ず取り入れるようにした。
First was the hard work, with event organisers putting the focus on personal and professional development through a number of changes to a fresh look AIME.
A key initiative for this was the new education programme, ‘AIME Knowledge’.
Partnered with major organisations including ICCA, PCMA and PCO, it offered two streams of sessions and a number of high-profile industry expert speakers over both days of the event.
“With such a wide range of speakers and topics, this is certainly one of the industry’s most comprehensive education programmes and if you compare the cost with other industry education sessions it is incredible value,” said Sally De Swart, RTE Director for AIME of AIME Knowledge.

ICCA（国際会議協会）、PCMA（プロフェッショナル・コンベンション・マネジメント協会）、PCO（プロフェッショナル・コングレス・オーガナイザー）と提携し、同イベントは2つのセッションと著名な業界専門家による数多くの講演を2日にわたって催した。
「数多くの講演者よって幅広いテーマが話されたこのイベントが、業界内で最も包括的な教育プログラムの1つであることは間違いありません。他の業界が提供する教育プログラムの料金と比べるみると、このイベントには信じられないほどの価値があります。」とAIMEが提供したAIMEナレッジについて、リードトラベルエグジビション社ディレクターのサリー・デ・スワート女史は語った。
