I have been in technical translation for 18 years during wich I had the opportunity to work on a regular basis as a freelance translator for a dozen of important agencies, 2 of them in Japan (for more than 10 years), others in France, Israel, United-States, Taiwan, Romania, etc.

I am a French English-French technical translator based in Tokyo.
I have a 18-year experience in the field of technical translation, mainly about user manuals for IT (I am a former system analyst) software and hardware. (From 2015 till 2019 I translated over 4,000,000 about NAS devices).
I also word on manuals for medical devices and machine tools. But I also happen to work in other fields, like finance or tourism.
I use CAT tools like Trados Studio 2017, MemoQ 8, Memsource. And using new CAT tools is definitely not a problem if necessary.
I currently work for translation agencies based in Japan, Taiwan, United-States, Israel, etc.
