Language has been a passion since I was a little girl. I grew up in the UK but have been living in Chile for the past 20 years. Because of this, although I am native in English, I am also native-like in Spanish and can translate in both directions with ease. This is a rare skill, even among the large body of professionals world-wide. I can also provide US variation or other style (UN, World English, etc.), if required, and of course provide a neutral Spanish style.

I am a business graduate with an MBA that has never let go of professional translation, and eventually turned to this profession full-time. As such, I have both practical and linguistic experience in the subjects I specialise in.

I am always happy to learn new skills, so if you would like me to try my hand at something new for you, I would be happy to oblige if I feel I can maintain a quality product. My fields of specialisation are:

* Business: I specialised in marketing as a business professional, but as a project manager, I developed knowledge in all functional areas, becoming particularly adept at finance and contract law. This also meant I participated in projects involved in technology, scientific investigation, architecture, tourism... in short, I am lucky to have worked professionally in many sectors, and bring this expertise to my translations.

* Law: I am particularly familiar with contract law and legal opinion (especially business-related), but also have extensive experience with EU regulations and similar legal bodies of work.

* Academic papers: building on my experience in scientific investigation project management, I began to translate scientific texts around 15 years ago and have not stopped since. My most frequent subjects in social sciences are economic analysis and pedagogy, while my most familiar exact sciences are related to mathematical business analysis, chemistry and environmental (biology-orientated) science.

As I have international clients, by working hours vary quite a lot. My most regular hours are 8:00-12:00 and 18:00-00:00 GMT-4 (Santiago). This is equivalent to:
