これは祠といい、神様の住む建物を模した、高さ50センチ程のとても小さな小屋です。日本各地の神社や街角、田畑の中などにあり、神道の神様、お稲荷様など信仰の対象物が祀られています。日本の人々の様々な信仰の対象となってきました。お稲荷様の狐像などと一緒に、お庭や部屋に飾ってみてはいかがでしょうか。素朴な信仰の象徴であり、安らぎが得られることでしょう。
また、調べてみて私も驚きましたが、鹿児島や京都のものは900ドル程と大変な高値で取引されており、出回ることも少なく入手が困難です。
