Greetings.

My name is Matthew Alberts, and I'm a Japanese to English translator. I've got about five years experience (including freelance translation). I specialize in Japanese entertainment media (TV shows, movies, music, video games, comics), the automotive industry, computers/IT, and business.

I lived in Japan for about a year, studying at a school in Shiga Prefecture known as the Japan Center for Michigan Universities. Last time I was there, I aced their Third Year course, widely known as the most difficult course they offer.

I've also got some professional Japanese translation experience. I worked for five months for a company that was contracted to Chrysler. They dealt with troubleshooting the computer systems within Chrysler vehicles as well as the computer networks at each Chrysler dealership. I did this in both English and Japanese. I've personally called and talked to the service managers at every Chrysler dealership in Japan. I also spent some time at that job translating important documents regarding the Chrysler WiTECH system from English into Japanese.
