With 20+ years in life sciences research, and — importantly — real-life experience in four different European countries, I’d like to introduce myself as an expert linguist.
As a research scientist, I have written and published several peer-reviewed articles in areas such as food biotechnology (M.Sc., Strathclyde University, UK), molecular and cellular biology of cancer (Ph.D., UCL, UK), neuroscience (postdoc NIBR, Netherlands), and cancer epidemiology (postdoc UNITO, Italy). My experience in coordinating postgraduate research projects has helped me perfect my skills in written and verbal communication, and multidisciplinary relations and collaboration, and these enrich my capacity as a translator to discern and translate the meanings of words accurately.
More specifically, I have worked as an independent linguist since 2010. I have translated clinical trial protocols, medical equipment manuals, SPCs, CIOMS reports, Quality Review of Documents, patient reports, and worked on several linguistic and localization projects.
