大学は東京外国語大学英語科オセアニア地域専攻で、人類学(先住民人類学)と言語学(英語)の学位を取得いたしました。卒業論文は現代マオリのアイデンティティの様々な形について執筆いたしました。言語に興味があり、マオリ語、クック諸島マオリ語、フランス語、イタリア語の学習経験があります。

母語は日本語で、生まれも育ちも日本です。大学卒業後はホテルのマネジメントの会社に就職いたしました。在学中にニュージーランドのウェリントンに留学し、一目惚れしたのをきっかけに、その後移住しました。ウェリントンでもホテル業界で働いておりましたが、現在は翻訳をさせていただいております。長くなりましたが、ご興味がありましたら、ご連絡お待ちしております。全力を尽くしてお力添えできること楽しみにしております。

I am a translator/interpreter with experience in translating news articles, documents, and video clips from English to Japanese. Upon delivery, I will liaise with you to offer the best translation services that suit your needs in a timely manner.

I have translated content from the following sectors:

As described above, I successfully translated materials with varying levels of formality; ie. from UN documents, academic papers to informal essays and TikTok videos. I have a background rich enough in both English and Japanese speaking environments to adjust my translation materials to a wide range of situations.

I graduated with a degree in Anthropology (Indigenous Anthropology) and Linguistics (English). I wrote an undergraduate thesis on modern forms of identities in Māori culture. I am passionate about learning languages: I studied te Reo Māori, Cook Islands Māori, French, and Italian up to beginner and intermediate levels.

I am a native speaker of Japanese. I was born and raised in Japan, completed a diploma, and worked in hotel management in Tokyo. After finishing an exchange at Victoria University of Wellington, I moved to New Zealand, where I continued working in hotel administration. I am now based in Wellington.
