日本生まれ日本育ちのハーフ、高校生で単身渡米、
英語力はネイティヴレベルまでに達し、マンハッタン大学をcum laudeで卒業。
後、フリーランス翻訳家として本格的に活動を開始。

大学在学中より、Manhattanの日本食レストランにてヘッドサーバーとして勤務、
最年少という立場ながらもフロアの責任者として毎日英語と日本語の両方を駆使し、接客業に限らず幅広い事務作業もこなしました。
まだまだ未熟な翻訳の経験を積み、フリーランスとして生計を立てられるよう奮闘中です。
アメリカで学校に通い、また、働いたからこそ理解できる英語独特のニュアンスや使い回し、そしてニューヨークで培ったグローバルな視点と感性を活かし、的確な翻訳、そして、迅速な対応をお約束します。


Hi, my name is Adaora. I recently started pursuing my career in the translation field.
I am a native speaker of Japanese and am also fluent in English.
I recently graduated from Manhattan College with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations.
While I was in my sophomore year, I started working as a server at a Japanese restaurant where I constantly used both English and Japanese.
I became the head server quickly after I started my career in the industry, which gave me the opportunity to experience more than just the hospitality aspect of the job. I successfully trained and managed a diverse group of employees while I was also responsible for the majority of the administration tasks.
I believe I have gained a lot of useful skills and knowledge from the job that makes my translation stand out from the rest.
