The document produced by UPS is not a C88. It is a UPS document created from the information on the C88. If the VAT import reclaim is queried we will need to provide the original C88 (like the sample I sent you) which is why we do not claim on client’s behalf without it or a C79. It is essential that the EORI number from your company be stated on the import document(s) used to justify the claim. Actually I noticed that UPS included your EORI number but wrongly stated that it was your VAT number.
