こちらが解析の結果です。ポジティブコントロールでの検出率が高い順に用語を並べてあります。緑でマーカーを引いてあるのは、PRRが2以上で、各ポジティブコントロールで件以上検出された用語で、そのような用語は9個でした。この9個について、症例の原疾患と使用された薬剤を全てのデータで集計したところ、次のようになりました。ほとんどが日和見感染に関係がありそうな原疾患が存在する症例でしたし、使用された薬剤も免疫抑制が生じるものが多かったです。

Here is the result of our analysis. Each terminology is placed in the order of descending rate for detection under positive control. Those with grean marker indicate those terminology with PRR more than 2 and those detected under positive control. There were 9 terminology for such cases. We analysed the 9 cases based on all the date related to underlying diseases and medications used and had their results as follows. Most of the cases had the underlying diseases that relates to opportunistic infections. Furthermore, we found also that many of medications used had immunosuppresive effect.

ご指摘はおかしいように思います。symptomは症状の意味であり、症状とは疾患から派生する観察できる現象をさす理解でおります。日本語原文は疾患とあり症状ではないですし、原疾患の意味からも症状を指すとは考えられないと思います。どのような理由で訂正されたのか教えて頂けませんか?

こちらですね。私がunderlying symptomsとしたのは、原文が「症例の原疾患」とあったためですが、確かにおっしゃる通しかもしれません。
「用語は9個」を9 termsではなく9 cases「症例」と「用語」を同意のように訳されていたので混乱してしまいました。申し訳ありません。
読み返して気づきましたが、grean、dateはスペルミスかと存じます。
