添削ありがとうございます。"because of my/me being busy"という表現ですが、このmy/meをめぐる議論でしばしば「"me"は口語的」との意見が出されているのを見かけるので (e.g., http://forum.wordreference.com/showthread.php?t=1667822)、"my"を用いたのですが、googleで検索すると"me"の方が頻繁に用いられているようですね。もう一つの添削も含めて、なんにせよご指摘ありがとうございます。
