2009年リリースの2ndアルバム「FAMILY」では、「Garden」のカヴァーで一躍注目を集め、同曲の累計配信は200万DLを突破し、オリコンウィークリーチャート初登場4位を記録。3rdアルバム「for you」と2作連続でTOP10入りを果たす。
2013年2月に初のベストアルバム「May J. BEST」をリリース。
2013年6月にはカヴァーアルバム「Summer Ballad Covers」を発売し、オリコン5週連続TOP10入り、累計30万枚突破の大ヒット。

For the second album released in 2009, she rocketed to fame by attracting a huge attention covering the song “Garden”. The number of accumulated download of the garden exceeded two millions and which led to place the song as the second place on Oricon weekly chart at the first appearance. The third album “for you” also placed in Top 10 ranking which made continuous two albums placed in Top 10. She released the first best album “May J. REST” February in 2013.
In June, 2013, she released the cover album “Summer Ballad Covers” which was placed in Top 10 of Oricon chart for consecutive five week and became a big hit with accumulated sales exceeding 300,000 CDs.
