展示会（見本市を含む）の企画・運営業が4月1日、国の経済構造や経済波及効果分析の基礎資料として利用される日本標準産業分類に掲載されることが明らかになった。

展示会産業はこれまで大きな経済効果を生む重要な産業であることを自主的にうたいつつも、産業としての位置づけが不明確だった。

今回、日本標準産業分類に「展示会（見本市を含む）の企画・運営業」が記載されることによって、展示会という事業が一つの経済活動をしている業種と客観的に認められたことになった。

It become clear that the business of plannning and managing of exhibition ( including trade fairs) will appear in Japan Standard Industry Classification which is user as fundamental deta to analyze the economic structure or the economic ripple effect in the country.

The positioning of exibition industry has not been clear before, though they insisted the industry would take an important role in the economic development.

The fact that "planning and managing exhibition industry (including trade fairs)" is put in Japan Standard Industry Classification means that the exhibition industry has become one of the official industries which carries out economic activities.
