It is expected to be more efficient to apply radiation therapy in order to reduce the number of cancer cells,
and then subsequently apply immunotherapy, comparing to applying each of the therapy separately. For example, “SBRT”, a therapy which irradiates three-dimensionally from various angles, is expected to give high therapeutic efficacy while suppressing adverse effects,
by the pin- point irradiation of large amount of radiation at once to the cancer tumor.
Moreover, the therapy ends in about one week which is relatively short, so it can be concomitantly used before immunotherapy.
