Ранее в вреду около 5 тысяч студентов нескольких киевских университетов прибыли на Майдан Незалежности в Киеве с флагами Украины и Евросоюза, скандируя: "Молодежь нации – за евроинтеграцию!", "Присоединяйтесь к нам!".
Перед зданием кабинета министров Украины состоялся многотысячный митинг. Многим журналистам и политикам не удалось попасть внутрь здания, которое охраняют несколько тысяч бойцов спецназа.
В ходе заседания правительства премьер Николай Азаров заявил, что договор об ассоциации с ЕС был бы "провальным для обеих сторон" из-за неблагоприятной экономической ситуации.

Early in the demonstration, about five thousand students from several Kiev universities arrived at Independence Square in Kiev with Ukrainian and European flags, chanting: "A young nation is Euro-integrated!", "Join us!".
In front of the building of the Ukrainian cabinet minster, several thousand meetings took place. Many journalists and politicians weren't able to get inside the building, which was guarded by several thousand special police force officers.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov said that agreements on association with the EC would be "loses for both sides" due to the adverse economic situation.
