東日本大震災で大きな被害に遭った宮城県松島町の公園に姿を現した世界で初めての「膨らむコンサートホール」。この構造物はポリエステル素材でコーティングされたバルーンで作られているという。製作者は建築家のAとイギリス人彫刻家のB。最大限まで膨らませた場合、高さは18メートル幅は35メートルになり、500人の観客が収容可能になるそうです。こけら落としとして歌舞伎の公演などが今月27日から2週間行われるそうです。可動式であるため日本全国を巡回し様々なイベントを開催することができる

"The Expanding Concert Hall" appeared in Matsushima, Miyagi prefecture, an area damaged by the the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. It is made with a balloon coated with polyester materials. The creators are A, an architect and B, an English sculptor. When the balloon expands to its limit, the height is 18 meter and the width is 35 meters and adequate for 500 people. From the 27th for 2 weeks, the theater will be opened with a kabuki performance. Since it is movable, the balloon will travel around Japan and will hold a variety of events.
