日本には太古から現在まで、有形無 形問わず多くの素晴らしい文化財があります。近年では、ゲーム、ファッション、アニメや漫画などのポップカルチャーが海外で注目され、まったく新しい「日本」のイメージも形成されています。

しかし若者を中心に日本のイメージがポップカルチャーに偏重してきているという指摘もあり、伝統文化や生活文化、ハイ カルチャーを含めた日本文化の発信を政府も重要課題として取り組もうとしています。

From ancient until the modern times, Japan has had many wonderful cultural heritages, both tangible and intangible. In the recent years, a Pop culture of games, fashion, animé and manga is getting attention abroad and has also formed an entirely new image of "Japan".

However, some point out that the image of Japan centered in the youth has been over emphasized in this Pop culture. And the government has been dealing with the spread of Japanese culture, that included a high culture of traditional culture and cultural life, as an important issue.
