子供たちは、日本人は英語、米国人は日本語で、スポーツなどの趣味や家庭の出来事などについて、思い思いに発表。基地内のペリースクール７年（中学１年に相当）ベイリー・ジョーンズさん（１２）は終了後、「日本語は、みんなが話している内容を知りたいと思って習い始めた。少し難しい」と話した。
