Volume Two

This is the chronicle of Kenny's second year. Picking up where the first volume left off, this book traces his year in photos as Kenny grows from a toddler to a boy. It was his first year at day care and the year he learned to speak. He even visited Shanghai and Hong Kong along the way.

Compiling this book, I was struck by how much smiling this boy does. He has his mother's dedication and love to thank for that, I suspect. Kenny is a happy and active boy, and I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to work from home and therefore spend the year with him.

この本は、ケニーの２歳時の記録である。第一巻の終わり部分につながるかたちで、この本はケニーが幼児から少年へと育っていく１年間の過程を写真で綴っていく。この年、ケニーははじめて保育園へ通いはじめ、しゃべることを覚えた。さらに、上海と香港への旅も経験する。

この本を編纂するにあたり、この子がとてもよく微笑んでいることに私は大変感心した。思うにきっと、この子は母親にとてもよく面倒をみてもらっていて、またそれを愛をもって感謝しているのだろう。ケニーは幸せな、そして元気な少年で、私は在宅勤務をする機会を得て彼と一年一緒に過ごせた事がとても幸運なことだと感じている。
