HI：心の中では、全ての日本人が伝統を受け伝える役割を担うようであって欲しいと望んでいます。また、全ての人にとってそれが可能なはずだと考えています。というのは、伝統を継承していく能力は各々に潜在しているものだからです。
私たちにはそれぞれ過去の記憶というものがあります。それぞれが、その人なりの歴史、伝統というものをもっています。
伝統を再生するためには当然ながら、それが失われないようにし、何であるかを明確にし、何らかの方法で表出させていかなくてはなりません。

HI: In my heart I wish for all Japanese to play a role in taking and sharing our traditions. And I think that this is possible for every person because each and every one of us has the potential to inherit tradition. We each have memories of the past within us. We each have our own history and traditions. While it's natural to reincarnate traditions, we must not lose them, we must define them, and we must express them in some way.
