Петицию принял и пообещал передать в администрацию президента мужчина, назвавшийся сотрудником администрации Виктором Шарабарой.
После передачи документа колонна студентов освободила улицу Банковую и спустилась на Майдан Незалежности.
Виктор Янукович считает невозможным изменение решения о прекращении процесса подготовки к подписанию соглашения об ассоциации между Украиной и ЕС, несмотря на проведение массовых митингов за европейскую интеграцию.
Ранее в вреду около 5 тысяч студентов нескольких киевских университетов прибыли на Майдан Незалежности в Киеве с флагами Украины и Евросоюза, скандируя: "Молодежь нации – за евроинтеграцию!", "Присоединяйтесь к нам!".
Перед зданием кабинета министров Украины состоялся многотысячный митинг. Многим журналистам и политикам не удалось попасть внутрь здания, которое охраняют несколько тысяч бойцов спецназа.
В ходе заседания правительства премьер Николай Азаров заявил, что договор об ассоциации с ЕС был бы "провальным для обеих сторон" из-за неблагоприятной экономической ситуации.
