About This Service
I'm a first-generation Japanese-American, born and raised in the United States with full Japanese parents. My first language was Japanese and I grew up learning how to speak, read, and write basic Japanese. I especially learned common Japanese from watching anime, reading manga, and watching Japanese variety shows. Because I was born and raised in the US (mostly Los Angeles, California), I'm also advanced with the English language. Growing up, I've helped my parents translate and understand between Japanese and English. Thus, I'm fluent and native in both languages and would be more than happy to help others. My background is in biology and I'm currently a PhD graduate student. Although my major is not based on language, my area requires me to speak, write, and read clearly, concisely, and effectively. These skills are transferrable to translation. I hope I can be of help!
