About This Service
I am an assistant Japanese as a Second Language teacher and I also tutor folks learning Japanese 1 on 1 via Skype. My specialties are pronunciation, grammar, reading, and cultural specific elements of the Japanese language (including honorifics).
What You Can Expect
I tutor multiple students and work for a school as an assistant Japanese language instructor. I have studied Japanese for 15 years and have lived back and forth between the United States in Japan for most of that time!
Business Hours
I am usually online and able to answer messages Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

My name is Tessa. I am a native English speaker and speak Japanese fluently as a second language. I have studied and spoken Japanese for 15 years including graduating from the Japanese Language Institute of Sapporo with a Certificate of Completion of Advanced Level Japanese Study. I now teach Japanese as a Second Language and have provided interpreting and translation services at events, at hospitals, and in school emails for students whose parents do not read Japanese. I am presently studying for the JLPT N1 while taking an online Japanese as a Second Language teacher training course (in Japanese).
