Born in Colombia, I successfully finished my career of Political Science and International Relations in the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana at Bogotá-Colombia. I finished a MBA in Project Management, which I took with two universities from Spain (Francisco de Vitoria and Ealde Business School). I´ve studied Languages (English and French) at Canada, where I lived for almost two years. At the same time, I´ve prepared myself studying at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid-Spain, place where i coursed International Relations, Diplomacy and Social Media. Regarding work experience, I decided to strive for more, and i got the opportunity to work for a Canadian Oil Consultant Firm (Praxis Global Research) in Panama City-Panama. My position was as the Business Development Manager for the LATAM Region and then after a few months, I was promoted to Senior Business Development Manager for Colombia & Andean Region. My second to last job was at the Colombian Federation of Municipalities, as Professional – Analyst of Associate Service and at the SENA (National Service of Learning) within the Ministry of work. My interests are oriented towards relationship building, Team Work, and an international work environment.
I am convinced that the ability to experience, understand, and immerge in different cultures is not only necessary to be successful in a global economy, but crucial. My interest in an internationally orientated education finds expression in my various trips throughout the world. During my travels I have learned a lot about other languages, cultures, and international experiences. I can now speak and write English and French fluently and have studied Italian for one year now, steadily improving my knowledge in the field. I am strongly motivated to further direct my career in a cross-cultural setting. Overall, my working experience showed me that self-reflection, social competence and empathy are required and essential tools to become successful.
