With 20+ years in biomedical research, and — importantly — real-life experience in four different European countries, I’d like to introduce myself as an expert linguist of biosciences/pharmaceutical sciences and medical literature.

As a research scientist, I have written and published peer-reviewed scientific articles in several areas such as enzymatic catalysis (M.Sc., Strathclyde University, UK), cell and molecular biology of cancer (Ph.D., University College of London, UK), neuroscience (postdoc NIBR, Netherlands) and cancer epidemiology (postdoc Università degli Studi di Torino, Italy).

My experience in coordinating postgraduate research projects has helped me perfect my skills in written and verbal communication and multidisciplinary relations and collaboration. And these enrich my capacity as a translator to discern and translate the meanings of words accurately.

I have worked as an independent linguist since 2010. More specifically, I have translated clinical trial protocols, medical devices manuals, summaries of product characteristics, CIOMS reports, quality review of documents and conducted several linguistic validations and localization projects. Last, I am an advanced user of CAT software such as SDL TRADOS Suite 2011 and 2014, Wordfast®, MemoQ and others.
